Row and column drill

Row and column drill in the web is so easy now! Row and column drilling now just works with CALUMO’s Natural Drilling. That’s CALUMO mantra — it should just work so drilling on accounts, months, products, anything is simple. Browse your cube, slice to Excel, make the report look really good like you do today in Excel, and hit the big CALUMO Publish button to turn it into a web page. Now your Excel sheet is a fully functional web page with live data and you can drill anywhere with Natural Drilling. Click on a row or column member, drill and display the sub accounts or SKU’s — any detail you have. It’s super-fast too!

Office 2013 and Office 365 compatibility — Take advantage of the latest from Microsoft and have comfort in the knowledge that CALUMO will continue to function beautifully.

Easier and still secure access — Get access to CALUMO via automatic login and now new forms-based (you type in your username and password). This means access to CALUMO on any device is even easier, and people who are off-site (external to your company) can still access data that is made available to them.

Natural Drilling - This is a great addition because it not only saves you time, it will delight your users.  On any published report, your users can now click once to see the next level of detail and then keep clicking to get more and more all the way down to leaf level.  It is incredibly fast to refresh as more and more detail is added.  It will change the way you think about delivering data by allowing you and your users to focus at the summary level and then only retrieve the detail that matters.  As a report author you don’t have to do anything different to enable this in your report – even better it works for rows and/or columns and you can switch it off in seconds where you don’t want your report users to go into deep detail on a particular report.  Both you and your users will love this.

Introducing the Report Action! For those times you’ve wanted to add that “Are you sure?” button or add features like “Send this to me every Monday morning”.
explore The Explorer Pane has been rebuilt from the ground up.  It’s even faster, incredibly smooth and natural to use  and optimized for mouses and thumbs so it doesn’t matter whether your on a desktop, a laptop, iPad or tablet.

Mobile Access is even easier! 
All CALUMO Published Reports are now enhanced for mobile usage.  This means we know when you’re using an iPad, iPhone, Windows Phone, Android or Blackberry. When you interact with a report, they’re easier to use.  Drop lists are finger clickable, writing comments and entering numbers for budgets and forecasts are really easy too. By the way, you only have to create the report once and it works on the PC as well as your mobile devices.

Transactional reporting – not just cubes!
 CALUMO now supports reporting your transactional data for your data warehouse or ERP. Transactional reports can be built and used in Excel and published a web pages and they are fully dynamic, extremely configurable (no limits!) and interactive. You can now view a dashboard, look at the underlying data in a cube based report then dive into a transactional report that took you 20 minutes to build, not 5 days!
Report Specific Information.
 It’s even easier to add help, instructions and information about your reports in CALUMO today.  If you’re an administrator, you can add spiffy help like this that tells people what this report does, and why. It saves time training and explaining, again and again and again…
On-line Help is really on-line.
CALUMO’s help is now is now web based and not a PDF any more. It’s much easier to use and to find the help you need. It also gives us at CALUMO the ability to attach examples for you (because you asked for that).

Mobile access to reports and dashboards
Mobile access to reports and dashboards is automatic and easy with CALUMO. You don’t need any new software or specific license to use it. To make your report building life even easier, we have given you the ability to specify a viewport. Add a viewport makes it much easier for people with mobile devices to read and interact with your reports.
11.9.1 is even faster

We are constantly trying to make CALUMO even faster.  In this version we have added the ability to transfer data from the server to a web client (your report in Internet Explorer for instance) very fast. We use something called JSON so if you’re a happy hacker, you can use this when adding 3rd party tools to you CALUMO report.

Dynamic links to other reports from a picture or shape is now possible with this version of CALUMO.
  As an analyst, your ability to create a beautiful report and an awesome guided analytics experience is much easier.  For example, you can insert a transparent shape over a chart that when clicked will take a person to the right report for the department or company they are responsible for. 
CALUMO Skylights is now faster and more robust with an upgrade to the Skylights engine.

Guided Analytics
Analysts – you no longer need to re-invent the wheel. 11.9 introduces capabilities for report builders to rapidly create analytic experiences that guide end users seamlessly to the most important insights they need to understand, decide and act.
Reflex Reporting
Reflex reports are brand new. Like everything else in CALUMO your ability to leverage and re-vector previous reports as they construct new ones means that with CALUMO Reflex, your reports just keep getting better and better as your authoring time gets shorter and shorter. Your ability to author, prototype, cut and deploy just got even faster. Refreshing reflex reports is lightning fast – faster than anything we have ever done – and that’s saying something.
Javascript in reports
For the more technically minded – 11.9 provides seamless support for HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. If you want to take your reports further you can very simply embed new HTML5 tags like or apply your own CSS. Web capable report authors can use the built in Javascript editor add script to predefined render events in any report. CALUMO is the ultimate BI tool for creating visually stunning, business-ready and customised reports connecting your business data and processes to the world of cloud based systems and data.
Manage CALUMO Server configuration from inside the CALUMO Web interface
Administration is now even easier with dedicated in-app editing of key configuration files allowing you to fine tune your CALUMO server in seconds.

Report Vault
Need to make urgent changes to a web report, but can't find the Excel original? Don't panic. Report Vault now stores a copy of your Excel report with each publish. This means your original is always safe and can be retrieved at any time, from any machine.
Private Reports
When publishing a web report from Excel, you now have the opportunity to publish privately. This means that your report will appear under your own "Private Reports" section, and not be viewable by other users. This is great for creating and perfecting the reports that matter to you.
Web to Excel
It is now easier than ever to modify reports and create new ones. Simply launch a web report and click "Send to Excel". You will now have a new Excel report that can be modified and published as desired. In addition our Cube Browser can now send data to Excel complete with styling.
Smart Tabs
Our web tabs have just become smarter. We've added options like "Open in new window" and "View URL", which appear just by hovering over a tab. Off-screen tabs will scroll into view simply by reaching for them. And to reposition a tab, just drag it to where you want.
Multi-browser Compatibility
Our web interface has been reengineered to work with IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Users can now take advantage of the latest performance improvements from these competing browsers.

Skylights for Powerpoint
Building on the success of Skylights for Word, Skylights for Powerpoint offers an even faster, friendlier way to include live web content in your presentations. Grab content from your CALUMO reports or any Web page, then refresh at any time to see the latest information. Share your presentation with anyone, even those without Skylights.
Web Report Hyperlinks
Whether building menus or creating drill-throughs, hyperlinks are a valuable tool for creating efficient report workflow. We have improved their interactivity with visual feedback when hovering or clicking. This even works with Excel shapes. We have also enabled Excel's HYPERLINK formula to include live CALUMO data.
Trendlines
Trendlines have been added to the many graphing features supported by Web reports. If you have existing Excel reports that use trendlines then simply republish to see the results.

Skylights for Word
Ever wanted to create Word documents that include live report data? Skylights enables you to include not just CALUMO report data, but any web content you can imagine. These documents can then be shared with any Word user, including those without Skylights. Those with Skylights can refresh or edit their web content at any time.
Cube Browsing Enhancements
We've added some new features to our web Cube Browser. It's now quicker and simpler than ever to create PDF documents. Graphs gain a more modern look, while users can now drive their saved views using query string arguments, just like they can in with Web Reports.
Microsoft Office 2010 Support (32-bit)
Now you can use CALUMO with the latest and greatest version of Microsoft Office. Enjoy working in a more productive, better looking Office environment.

Dimension Maintenance
Now you can restructure Dimensions through a simple new interface. Quickly create or modify leaf members and aggregates. Reorder hierarchies with simple drag and drop actions. You can even copy and paste information to and from Excel.
Search
It doesn't look like much, but that new Search box above the Explorer Tree will transform the way you use the Web UI. Start to type and immediately a list of closest matches will appear, all neatly grouped into reports, views, cubes and Admin pages. It's the fastest way to get around.
Data Spreading
Spreading is an essential aid to planning and forecasting, allowing target values to be spread across constituents according to a chosen spread pattern. These patterns are completely configurable through CALUMO formula in Excel. Cells can also be held so they are not affected by the spread.
Web Report Multi-Browser Support
Web reports have been substantially reworked to render perfectly in IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. So now you can take advantage of the latest performance breakthroughs among the competing browsers. You can also view your reports on non-IE mobile devices.
