Today we’ve announced a program that extends a hand to Australian businesses hardest and most directly hit by the credit squeeze – Recovery Now!
Our offer is to partner with those organisations giving them full access to our software on a free-for-nine (9) months basis. After that time we’ll sit together as partners and work out the best way forward for them and us.
The value of the Recovery Now! program is estimated at A$3 million over the next 12 months. This is the CALUMO Group's contribution to re-energising the local Australian economy in the best way we know how.
We see the current challenges as similar to a natural disaster, there are some scenes of localised value destruction. Some industries find themselves stricken. It’s to businesses in those industries that we want to offer our open partnership and to whom we want to work in giving them access to tools that will help them to pilot a course through difficult times.
Our Australian-developed applications are all about giving people the information they need to identify opportunities, collaborate, make better decisions and make much better use of their time. The businesses we are talking to in this program are facing the usual constraints of a downturn but with high intensity. These are the businesses that must be streamlining, getting visibility of their core activities, managing expenditure and collaborating with their teams around preparing viable projections for the future – right now.
They need to do more with less at a time when their staff are calling out for more information so they can make their own contribution to the recovery of their business.
We have released new product in the last few weeks that our clients have confirmed is absolutely outstanding Australian innovation; delivering on our pragmatic vision for Business Intelligence. To us, it’s like having food when we know good friends are hungry. We want to get our software in the hands of businesses with an acute need but a genuine inability to invest significantly in the near term. It’s a simple message we are prepared to back with immediate and affirmative action.
Activity genuinely is the greatest cure for anxiety so we want to get cracking.
We’d encourage all Australian businesses to put recovery and assisting businesses in difficulty squarely on the corporate agenda; and engage with their own shop floors on how to help. In so doing they give their teams real reason to be proud and most critically be reassured. Anxiety over recession is viral, we would like to see articles surfacing positive stories like this (and the ones we hope will follow) actively decreasing the growing anxiety of the Australian community.
Recovery Now! is a genuine offer from a long-established Australian innovator.
It is a grass-roots initiative from the CALUMO Group. We’d like to see our media dominated with similar stories of decisive action undertaken by Australian business, setting a global example on co-operative approaches to prosperity.
In our own business, we sat down as a management team to specifically discuss the impact of the global financial crisis for our business and our people. An important issue on that agenda was “what could be CALUMO’s role in an Australian recovery?”. We decided that although we run a commercial enterprise, some of our partners in business are facing real difficulty. We’ve taken the best step available to us as a business to support them.
